We mainly use Capterra when we are in doubt about digital products to use and buy. It is a trustful source of reviews made by previous users that share their considerations of the pros and cons of a product. Capterra is well known, more traditional, and more focused on the software segment (different from trust pilot), and the descriptions are well summarized and optimized for those who are reading/searching. It is the primary choice by people looking for that purpose, and so it has more written reviews.

We often need to make decisions on softwares as our company develops and grows. Capterra helps us ensure that we can quickly rule out softwares which may not be of the standard or flexibility we need, saving us time and money in testing, demoing etc.. Currently, we assess different products against one another using Capterra.

Very well. It is a lot more niche and bespoke to what we need and are looking for. Trustpilot is very broad and not focused on the digital industries so the results were vague and not constructive to us making decisions. Often Trustpilot reviews were weak in fulling assessing positives and negatives, and was only used to critique customer service of platforms.
